Like most people I was shocked and saddened by the passing of Michael Jackson 2 days ago. He seemed immortal, as most icons do, and such a part of my childhood.
I saw the Jackson Five in concert when I was 9 at the Cow Palace in San Francisco. I was a big fan and my mom says I ran up to the stage when they came on. We would watch the Jackson 5 tv show and play their albums and dance around the house. In the 80s everone was wild about Thriller,etc and who didn't try to moonwalk?
I always thought he was a rare and fragile human being and I wish him peace.
